- Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 3 degrees are expected. Lows will be in the teens this morning.
- Where
- Portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana, and central, east central, north central, northeast, northwest, south central, southeast, southwest, and west central Mississippi.
- When
- Until noon CST today.
- Impacts
- An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. Very cold wind chills and temperatures can lead to frostbite and hypothermia, especially with prolonged exposure and if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures and wind chills. Extensive power outages and snow and ice cover persist from previous ice storm. This dangerous cold will only exacerbate the impacts felt in those affected areas.
