What: Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations exceeding 2 feet above 8000 feet....1 to 2 feet above 7000 feet....and 8 to 16 inches down to 6000 feet. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.
Where: White and Inyo Mountains.
When: Until 10 at night this evening.
Impacts: Visibilities may drop below a quarter mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Strong winds could cause tree damage.
Additional details: Travel on Highway 168 especially through Westgard Pass will be difficult to impossible at times. Snowfall rates will ease this morning. Another round of snow may move in Thursday.
